Our next informal Minnesota SAR Zoom event will be on Thursday,September 30 at 7:00 PM. Ethan Read will give a presentation on the Patriot Research System (PRS) implemented by the National Society, SAR.
The PRS contains patriot records, burials, biographies, and more. The database can be used by prospective members to help with their SAR application or by existing members as an aid for creating supplemental applications. A volunteer who completes 40 volunteer hours entering data into the PRS earns the Lafayette Volunteer Service medal and an oak leaf cluster for each additional 40 hours of service.
