On Friady, April 28, 2023, the MNSAR Color Guard helped the Minnesota State Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution to rededicate a set of historical markers at Fort Snelling (see photo to left).

The markers were placed in Fort Snelling over 100 years ago, but were taken down during a renovation and lost. They were found in storage at the fort after a more recent renovation. The Minnesota DAR negotiated with the Minnesota Historical Society to reinstall the plaques. The installation and rededication were delayed by the pandemic.

The Color Guard, in conjunction with the Fort Snelling Fife and Drum Corps, presented and retired the colors accompanied by fife and drum (see photo below). The Color Guard members are, left to right, Phil Christiansen, Rich Howey, Rick Smith, and Chris Moberg. The rightmost participants represented the Fort Snelling Fife and Drum Corps.
