
On behalf of the Minnesota Sons of the American Revolution Color Guard, Compatriot Craig Whiting participated in the May 29, 2023 Memorial Day Service at Oneota Cemetery in Duluth. He appeared in uniform and fired the opening volley. Later in the ceremony, during the rifle salute he was attached to the Duluth Honor Guard and fired the first volley with his musket. Compatriot Mike Stainbrook, Sr. acted as Master of Ceremonies for the event, and Compatriot Tim Grover was also in attendance. See photo below.


Afterwards, Compatriot Whiting led the annual West Duluth Memorial Day Parade with bagpiper Judd Johnston alongside him; Compatriot Stainbrook marched with the Duluth Honor Guard.

Earlier that morning, Compatriots Glendenning and Whiting participated in a ceremony at Forest Hill Cemetery, along with members of the Greysolon Chapter D.A.R. and the Duluth Area Honor Guard of the American Legion.
