We regret to report that our previous State Chancellor, Brendan Tupa, succumbed to cancer last month on May 23. He was 47 years old.
According to his obituary, published in the Star Tribune, Brendan was born in Grand Forks, ND, on 27 April 1977. He completed a bachelor’s degree at Jamestown College and law school at William Mitchell in St. Paul. He was a top defense lawyer and president of the Defense Lawyers of Minnesota. He is survived by his wife Cindy and two daughters.
Brendan joined the Dakota SAR in 2000 and transferred to the MNSAR Saint Paul Chapter in 2002. As a member he completed 5 supplemental applications. In 2013 he took on the role of Chancellor.
